in the LED controller board, any reason for the added height on the end 2 959's (the left most of the string of 6 chips)?? the top 6 chips are all identical shifts, the bottom 6 chips are 8x8 resistors bound onto a single ic to save space, they're all identically sized chips though i believe :)
also im toyin with the idea for putting the muxers for the analog faders on this board too and just send 20-22 ribbon cables to the channels and just 16's to the master LED board, ya get meh?! added complication? I could do the same for the buttons and turn it into a general master 'brain board'... hmmm

whats easier for the cad? modular or one big board?
i left those 2 chips floating in the air to show off the holes underneath, they dont just go thru a flat PCB.
would make sense to put all combinators on one big logic-board, unless it makes it tricky to wire it all up, but would be good to have all ribbons going to one centre board.
